NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 125.66 of Florida Statutes, that the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, will conduct a public hearing at the Manatee County Government Administration Building, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, 1st Floor, Patricia M. Glass Chambers, Bradenton Florida, during its regular meeting of October 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter to consider, act upon, enact, or reject the following Ordinance.

The Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida proposes to adopt the following ordinance:

COUNTY INITIATED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TEXT AMENDMENT

FINAL PLATS - PLN2506-0223

An Ordinance of the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, amending the Manatee County Land Development Code (as amended) regarding the processing of plats consistent with the delegation of authority for administrative approval of final plats and replats, consistent with applicable law; providing a statement of purpose and intent; providing findings; amending Chapter 3, Review Authority and Procedures, Section 300, Board of County Commissioners, removing plat approval references; Section 312.1, Level of Review Required, revising Table 3-1: Development Order Review Authorities, showing administrative authority for plat approval; Section 332, Replatting Requirements, revising language removing Board of County Commissioner references and designating administrative approval for replatting; Section 335, Final Plat Review Procedures, revising language removing Board of County Commissioners references and designating administrative authority for plat approval; Section 337.5, Performance Security, removing Board of County Commissioner reference and designating the County Administrator or administrative approval authority, as applicable; amending Chapter 10, Transportation Management, Section 1001.4, Street Design Standards, revising language to include administrative approval authority for plats; providing for other amendments as may be necessary for internal consistency; providing for codification; providing for applicability; providing for severability; and providing an effective date.

Interested parties may appear and be heard at the meeting with respect to the proposed Ordinance. The public hearing may be continued from time to time to a date and time certain or to no date certain and re-advertised. The Public may also provide written comments for the Board of County Commissioners to consider.

Pursuant to Section 286.0105 of Florida Statutes, if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter to be considered at the meeting or hearing, they will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record would include any testimony or evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

The proposed Ordinances are available for public inspection at the Manatee County Development Services Department, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Suite 400, Bradenton, Florida, during regular business hours. A reasonable charge may be made for the provision of copies.

Official Actions Will Affect and Regulate Use of Real Property in Unincorporated Manatee County – Notice to Real Property Owners and General Public.

The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of the following amendments to the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan. The amendments pertain to the unincorporated area of Manatee County. At the conclusion of the public hearing the Board of County Commissioners shall determine whether to adopt, adopt with modifications or not adopt the amendments to the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County will conduct a Public Hearing on October 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as same may be heard at the Manatee County Government Administration Building, 1st Floor Patricia M. Ordinance No. 25-43 – Sarasota Bradenton International Airport DRI #15 –  PLN2505-0192

An Ordinance of the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, amending and restating a Development Order pursuant to Chapter 380, Florida Statutes, for the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport Development of Regional Impact, (Ordinance 21-05) (DRI #15); to approve the following changes to Map H and the Development Order to: 1) delete 20,000 square feet of light industrial uses from Phase 1 and add 20,000 square feet of school of special education uses to Phase 2 on Outparcel 2; 2) clarify the acreages devoted to each land use in Outparcel 2; 3) to reflect the statutory tolling and extension of expiration dates, codify and restate the existing development order for DRI #15, revisions to terminology and format, and clarification changes; providing for severability and providing an effective date.
