For the second summer in a row, working teens can use the Summer ConneXion bus pass to hop aboard an MCAT bus to get to and from work for less than 50 cents a weekday. The $25 pass allows anyone ages 19 or younger to ride on MCAT buses from June 1 - Aug. 31.

Later this month Manatee County will officially re-open two new and improved skateparks at G.T. Bray Park and Blackstone Park. Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources will host a grand opening of G.T Bray Skatepark at 6 p.m. on May 22 and Blackstone Skatepark at 6 p.m. on May 23.

Later this month Manatee County officials will dedicate the Happy Tails Dog Park at G.T. Bray Park in honor of Laurie Crawford. Laurie served on the Manatee County Animal Advisory Board for 15 years, serving as its chair from 2001 to 2015. She also helped establish Manatee County's first dog park which now bears her name.
