Player’s Drive and Lorraine Road Roundabout Project Public Information Meeting Announced
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (September 12, 2023) – Manatee County is hosting a Public Information Meeting for the upcoming improvements at the intersection of Player’s Drive and Lorraine Road. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 11315 Palmbrush Trail, Bradenton, FL 34202.
The public meeting will provide citizens with an opportunity to learn more about the proposed improvements for the intersection. Guests will be invited to view design boards and plans. Project staff will also be on hand to answer questions and provide other project-related information. There will be no formal presentation and guests may arrive any time between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
This project includes a roundabout to be constructed at the Player’s Drive and Lorraine Road intersection with pedestrian ramps, crosswalks with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), pavement resurfacing of all approach lanes, lighting and the reapplication of appropriate pavement markings. Construction of the project will begin in late fall of 2024 and be completed by late fall of 2025.
