MANATEE COUNTY, FL (March 29, 2023) – Manatee County is hosting a community celebration at the Rubonia Community Center, 1309 72nd Street East, Palmetto, 34221, Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., highlighting infrastructure improvements throughout the neighborhood.
Residents are encouraged to walk the block, utilizing recent sidewalk improvements that create better accessibility to schools, the community center and surrounding neighborhoods. With millions of dollars in enhancements completed over the past several months, Rubonia residents can now enjoy long-term infrastructure improvements, including safer streets and sidewalks, along with better drainage during heavy rain. The party at the Community Center will be an opportunity to showcase the completion of these projects.
“This is an area with great history,” said Manatee County Commission Chair Kevin Van Ostenbridge. “This event celebrates the commitment to its even greater future.”
Local leaders will join residents for a day of food, fun and festivities for all ages.
