2004 Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR)

The Manatee County Planning Department has completed it's Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) of the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan. The EAR was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on August 31, 2004 and transmitted it to the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA), which found the report "sufficient" in January 2005. The EAR is essentially an audit of the existing plan and assesses the progress Manatee County has made in it's implementation. It also makes recommendations for potential amendments to the existing Comprehensive Plan.

On December 12, 2006, the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) adopted all necessary amendments to the Comprehensive Plan that were identified in the EAR Report.
