Manatee County Government, a political subdivision of the State of Florida (hereinafter referred to as "the County”), will receive proposals from individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other legal entities authorized to do business in the State of Florida, for the renovation of an approximately 4,800sf building used as a barber academy located at 917 26th Avenue East, Bradenton, Florida 34208. The rehabilitation work includes replacement of the electrical panels and HVAC system. The contractor selected for this project will be responsible for furnishing all necessary engineered drawings, permits, materials, equipment, and labor for a complete project, in accordance with the specifications of this Invitation for Bid.
This project is funded by a United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), as administered through Manatee County. There are federal regulations that apply through the duration of the project’s life-cycle including Davis Bacon wage rates, Section 3 reporting, Bid and Performance Bonds.
MANDATORY INFORMATION CONFERENCE
A mandatory Information Conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Real Vision Barber Academy, 917 26th Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34208.
Proposals will not be considered from those proposers who do not attend the Information Conference.
TIME AND DATE DUE FOR BIDS
Proposals will be received until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, by mail or hand delivery at the offices of Manatee County Government, Community and Veterans Services Department, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Suite 500, Bradenton, FL 34205, or via online submission through Neighborly Software.
TIME AND DATE OF BID PUBLIC OPENING
Proposals will be opened at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the offices of Manatee County Government, Community and Veterans Services Department, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, 5th Floor - IBIS Conference Room, Bradenton, FL 34205. All interested proposers or their representatives are invited to attend this opening.
