2023-2028 Consolidated Plan, 2023/24 Annual Action Plan and Citizen Participation Plan Public Input Request
Manatee County has prepared a draft 2023/28 Five-Year Consolidated Plan, 2023/24 Annual Action Plan and the 2023 update to the County’s Citizen Participation Plan.
The 2023/28 Five-Year Consolidated Plan is a strategic plan that identifies priority needs of the community and governs the use of federal housing and community development funds received through HUD to meet the needs of low-income and moderate-income persons in Manatee County. The 2023/24 Annual Action Plan details the actions and projects identified by Manatee County to carry out the priorities identified in the Consolidated Plan for allocating $1,847,283 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $682,570 in HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and $157,064 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. A total of 16 projects were identified to be carried out during the 2023/24 program year. Proposed updates to the Citizen Participation Plan include details to allow the County to perform Amendments and Substantial Amendments to the Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plans, as well as other minor updates on department responsibilities.
The Plans will be made available for 30 calendar day Citizen Comment Period between June 26 and July 25, 2023.
