Manatee to host Jan 26 meeting for local non-profits wishing to apply for 2017-18 funding

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 3, 2017) – Manatee County will host a Jan. 26 meeting to help local non-profit agencies interested in applying for Human Services grants to assist Manatee County residents.

 Agencies looking to apply for the Children’s Services Dedicated Millage funds to help disadvantaged children and families in the community, as well as agencies wishing to receive General Revenue funds to assist adult residents or provide other services to Manatee County are encouraged to attend.

Neighborhood Services Department representatives will hold the funding application orientation meeting Jan. 26 at 9 a.m. at the United Way McClure Center in Lakewood Ranch, 4215 Concept Court, Bradenton.

County staff will discuss the year's investment priorities, application deadlines, changes to the application process and new online application software. Applicants must be non-profit agencies that are recognized as a corporation under the State of Florida and tax exempt under section 501(c) (3) internal revenue code.
