Learning Express Library

What is it?

  • LearningExpress Library provides a comprehensive selection of educational resources to help individuals improve their core academic skills, prepare for college and careers, and more. Resources include tutorials, practice exams, and eBooks.  

  • Practice tests for the GED, SAT, ACT, GRE, citizenship, ASVAB, as well as Civil Service exams, nursing exams, and more can be found.

Getting Started

Through your web browser:

  1. Go to the library’s website and click on the orange Research & Learning button and then on the Tutorials and Practice Tests button.

  2. From the A-Z Databases list, find Learning Express Library alphabetically.

  3. You may browse the site before registering but you must create with an account to use the materials. To do so, click the blue Sign In/Register button in the upper-right of the page.

  4. Click Register under New User and select Library Card. Type your barcode number into the box and click Create Account. You can register using an email address or click “Register without email” to create your own username. Fill out the form and click the blue Register button.  

Through the app:

  1. In the app store on your iOs or Android device, search for EBSCO LearningExpress. Install and open the free app.

  2. You must complete the registration process on a computer or web browser following the instructions above.

  3. Once you have created an account, enter your email address and password, and tap Sign In.

Using Learning Express Library

  1. Once signed in, you will find prominent icons for the core content areas - called Centers. The Centers house all the tutorials, practice exams, and eBooks and are organized by areas of interest. Click or tap the icon of a Center that interests you to see the available resources. 

  2. You can also use the search bar at the top of the webpage or bottom of the app to search for a specific test, tutorials, or eBook. 

  3. Learning Express includes microlessons designed to teach specific core skills in small, easy chunks. Search for a skill such as word problems or ratios and use the filters to check the box next to Microlessons. Available on the website only. 

  4. Once you identify a tutorial or test you want to take, click the Start button or tap download. 

  5. Practice tests provide detailed information about how to take the test and an option for Practice mode (timed) or Learner mode. Choose your test mode and click or tap Start Test.

  6. You can save your progress and continue later by clicking the Finish Later button at the upper right of the test or tutorial page. 

  7. Tests and other content on the mobile app must be downloaded. Once downloaded, you will find it using the Mobile center button at the bottom of your screen. On the website, you will find your saved content by clicking your username in the upper right and My Center.
