Manatee to host meeting for local non-profits wishing to apply for funding

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 5, 2015) – Manatee County will host a Jan. 16 meeting to help local non-profit agencies interested in applying for Human Services grants that go to assist disadvantaged children and families in the community.

 Community Services Department representatives will hold a funding application orientation meeting Jan. 16 at 8:30 a.m. at the United Way McClure Center in Lakewood Ranch, 4215 Concept Court, Bradenton, FL 34211.     


“We’ll give an introduction to this year’s application process and update everyone on changes that will take place related to the evaluation of the applications,” said Andy Guyre, Human Services Division manager. “It is imperative that all interested agencies attend this meeting.  We will be releasing the application and announcing important deadlines at this meeting.”

Applicants must be non-profit agencies that are recognized as a corporation under the State of Florida and tax exempt under section 501(c) (3) internal revenue code.
