Description: The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners established the Southwest County Improvement District (SWTIF) under Ordinance No. 14-28, adopted on June 3, 2014 to become effective on October 1, 2014. The boundary is from Manatee Avenue on the north to the Sarasota County line on the south, and from Sarasota Bay on the west to U.S. 301 on the east. A TIF is a public financing method that is used as a subsidy for redevelopment infrastructure, and other community-improvement projects.

Description: The 2008 land use/cover features categorized according to the Florida Land Use and Cover Classification System (FLUCCS). The features were photointerpreted at 1:8,000 using 2008 1- ft and 6-inch color infrared (CIR) digital aerial photographs.
Description: This feature class contains polygons representing the evacuation levels for Manatee County, Florida, established by the Public Safety Department to alert the public as to when to evacuate during a storm. The public must evacuate depending on the severity of the storm and which level area they reside in.
