Manatee County residents will see an improved recycling program in 2016 with the conversion to Single Stream Recycling. All household recyclables will conveniently go into one, 64-gallon cart: there is no need to sort items into two bins!

What is Single Stream Recycling?

Single stream recycling refers to a system in which both the collection and processing systems are designed to handle all recyclables such as paper, plastics, glass, metals and other containers. This streamlined process will increase our recycling rate and help maintain a clean and healthy environment.

This exciting new program is the result of the efforts of Manatee County Government, Waste Management and Waste Pro working together to increase participation in recycling and reach the 75% recycling goal by 2020.
