We’re taking our customer service to another level by offering Manatee County Online Services, a new web-based tool that will allow you to do business with the Building and Development Services Department (BADS) without ever having to come to our offices. These new Onlines Services will be available to everyone, including homeowners, permitting services, agents and contractors.

 

For the first time, we’ll be offering all BADS services online and you’ll be able to:

  • remotely submit applications and payments for permitting, licensing, planning and zoning
  • track your project’s progress from submittal through final approval from the convenience of your connected home/office computers or mobile devices.  

Anyone who prefers to do business with us the old-fashioned way, in person, will still have that option at either our downtown location or at the North River Annex in Ellenton. However, we think after you try our new Online Services, you’ll discover it’s an easy-to-use system that will save you time and travel. 

 

You may experience longer-than-usual wait times in our lobby as our staff begins transition the new system. To minimize any inconvenience, we encourage you to visit us in the morning before 10 a.m., and to avoid peak hours between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.  

 

Training & Registration Information

We are offering in-person and webinar training on our new Online Services software beginning February 21. See the schedule and sign up for a class.

 

Registration: You will need an account to utilize Online Services. You can register for an account beginning Tuesday, February 27.

Limited Operations February 21 - 26

Online Permitting and Selectron/IVR (Automated Inspection Processing System) will be unavailable from Wed, Feb 21 through Mon Feb 26.  
 

If at all possible, please hold any new applications, during these days, until our system is live. If you do bring in new applications while our system is down, please bring a check, for the full amounts, with your package.

 

Inspections

Temporary Inspection Scheduling will be available beginning on February 19, 2018.

Inspections Information Card

  • All current permitting/inspection systems, in office, online and Selectron/IVR, will be unavailable beginning, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 12:00 PM.
  • Our Inspection Team will continue to provide inspection services during this transition. 
  • Certificate of Completion (CC) will not be issued between February 21st thru February 27th, 2018.
  • Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) will be issued in place of Certificate of Occupancy (CO) during February 21st thru February 27th, 2018. All TCO fees will be waived during this time.
  • ONLY Certificate of Occupancy (CO) required for financing and closing purposes may be issued during the transition. Please email Inspections@mymanatee.org requesting issuance of CO along with Permit Number.
