Recognition of the Military Officers Association of America for their scholarship program.
Since 2000, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) has awarded over $160,000 in scholarships to Junior ROTC students of Manatee County schools. The scholarships are awarded only after they are enrolled in an academic institution. It is only fitting to formally recognize this organization for its continued support of our community's youth as they further their education in hopes of one day wearing the uniform of one of our nation's proud military branches.
Each member of MOAA is a military officer, or a spouse or surviving spouse of a military officer, still active in the Manatee County community.
