Manatee County Code of Laws
This Request for Qualification (RFQ) is for the provision of Engineering and Consulting Services for Beach Renourishment. The Consultant's services will include consultations, investigations, environmental studies and reports; design; construction phase engineering for the Anna Maria Island Beach Renourishment Project and other shorelines within Manatee County under tidal influences. Consultant shall also comply with all applicable Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) regulations and requirements in providing any services for the County.
The RFQ was advertised on the Manatee County website, DemandStar and was also provided to the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce and the Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce for release to its members. One (1) proposal was received from the following:
An Evaluation Committee comprised of the following members was selected to review and evaluate the proposals:
The Evaluation Committee first convened on July 10, 2018 and conducted technical evaluations of the one responsible, responsive proposal received from APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. The Committee determined that discussions should be conducted with the Proposer in the form of clarification requests to further clarify the information in the proposal response. The Evaluation Committee met on July 12, 2018 for final technical evaluations.
In summary, the committee concluded to recommend award to APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. of Baton Rouge, LA.
The Agreement will be administered by the Parks & Natural Resources Department.
