Background Discussion
  • Applicants Eric Tupin Grimes and Caroline Dawn Grimes as Trustees under the Grimes Family Trust are requesting vacation of a 10' right-of-way easement.
  • This is one of two vacation requests within the vacation application as submitted by authorized agent Leo Mills Jr. on behalf of the applicants. 
  • This right-of-way easement runs North and South encumbering lots 35, 37, 39, 41, and 43. All of the lots are owned by the Grimes Family Trust.
  • The right-of-way easement was requested by the prior land owner to enable development of three single-family residences; however, the development did not take place.  
  • Jurisdictional reviews to appropriate county departments and private utilities serving the area had no objection to this request in the application.
  • The vacation complies with pertinent Florida Statutes and Manatee County Land Development Code.
  • Manatee County's application fee of $800.00 has been paid by the applicant.
  • All expenses associated with the application will be paid by the applicant.
