Background Discussion
Manatee County has been without a master plan for parks since the 1970's. A master plan is an important document, like a business plan, to guide decision making based upon the latest data and trends.

The Parks Master Plan will provide guidance to decision makers on capital and operational issues based upon the latest priorities of the stakeholders, demographics, trends in recreation, and economic realities.
