Action Requested
  • Execution of Contract for Sale and Purchase for a Permanent Easement from 57th Ave Rentals, LLC for Parcel 815 in the amount of $10,000.

Enabling/Regulating Authority
Florida Statutes, Chapters 125 and 127, and Manatee County Comprehensive Plan Goal 9.5 addresses the potable water system. 

Background Discussion
  • Suburban Waterlines Project, Phase III was approved in the FY 2008-2012 CIP.
  • Parcel 815 is a 1,000 square foot area of land being acquired for a permanent easement along the rear lot line of the parent tract.
  • The property is improved with a two-story commercial building. 
  • On January 14, 2013 Dan Richardson, MAI, R & W Enterprises, Inc., appraised Parcel 815 for $8,000.
  • A negotiated settlement was reached in the amount of $10,000 avoiding possible additional costs for expert witness fees and litigation.
  • The Board of County Commissioners executed an agreement on December 3, 2013.
  • This is one of two contracts submitted simultaneously for the same project.
