Execution of Contract with West Coast Southern Medical Services, Inc.

Authorization for the County Administrator to execute the Contract between Manatee County EMS and West Coast Southern Medical Service, Inc., in relation to Resolution 17-124 issuing the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN), which was executed on November 28, 2017.
Florida Statute 125.01
On November 28, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 17-124 authorizing the issuance of the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) for West Coast Southern Medical Service, Inc. The Resolution for the COPCN allows West Coast Southern to provide ALS and BLS inter-facility transport services in Manatee County.
A Contract is needed in conjunction with the Resolution in order to establish the terms, definitions, activations, rates, billing, conditions, and insurance requirements of West Coast Southern Medical Service, Inc.
West Coast Southern Medical Service, Inc., submits invoices to Manatee County EMS when services are requested. The contract establishes the rates and billing terms.
