Background Discussion
  • According to historical tax rolls dating back to 1944, the county acquired this property via delinquent taxes.
  • A jurisdictional review was completed and no objections were received to designate the property as surplus.
  • The 2017 tax assessed value is $82,500.00.
  • Due to the property lacking public infrastructure and transportation, the property was deemed not suitable for Affordable Housing.
  • Upon adopting Resolution R-18-030, said parcel will be designated surplus, advertised, and sold to the highest bidder in accordance with the Surplus Lands Ordinance 14-26 and Florida Statute 125.35.
