Action Requested
  • Execution of Contract for Sale and Purchase for a Warranty Deed with Cantolino Prop I, LLC, in the amount of $2,650,000.00 for the purpose of relocating the Sheriff Office's Child Protection Services to 3500 9th Street West, Bradenton, Florida, PID 4925300057; and
  • Adoption of Budget Amendment Resolution B-15-046.

Enabling/Regulating Authority

Florida Statutes Chapter 125.  Manatee County Comprehensive Plan-Goal 11.1.4, maintain a government environment conductive to the efficient and effective provision of services.

Background Discussion
  • At the request of the Manatee County Sheriff's Office a Contract for Sale and Purchase for a Warranty Deed has been negotiated in the amount of $2,650,000.00.  The subject property is located at 3500 9th Street West in Bradenton, Florida. 
  • The property is a one-story office building with 25,188 square feet under roof located on 5.83 acres. 
  • Child Protection Services will be relocated to this facility as their lease expires June 30, 2015.
  • Manatee County Sheriff's Office will pay Manatee County $261,000.00 per year for leasing this facility.
