Action Requested


Based upon the staff report, evidence presented, comments made at the Public Hearing, and finding the request to be CONSISTENT with the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan and the Manatee County Land Development Code, I move to recommend ADOPTION of Manatee County Zoning Ordinance No. Z-16-02, as recommended by staff.

Background Discussion

• Robert Schmitt, AICP, Land Planning Associates has requested a rezone from PR-S (Professional-Small) to the GC (General Commercial) zoning district.
• The site is approximately 0.89 acres and located on the south side of 53rd Avenue East, generally 1,600 feet east of the 53rd Avenue East and 30th Street East intersections, commonly known as 3010 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton.
• The site is in the R/O/R (Retail/Office/Residential) Future Land Use Category.
• Staff recommends approval.
