Appoint seven people to the Construction Trades Board (CTB).
Manatee County Construction Trades Board Ordinances 14-08 and 14-33
Florida Statutes Chapter 489.
The Construction Trades Board (CTB) was established in 1994 to license and, where appropriate, discipline contractors, as defined in Florida Statute 489.
On October 2, 2014 Land Use Meeting the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 14-33 and Ordinance 14-08. Major changes include the reduction of 4 seats, the quorum from 6 to 4 members and term changes from all seats with 4 years to the following terms.
Please appoint seven people to the Construction Trades Board (CTB):
Several contractors are licensed in several disciplines and can be appointed to multiple seats holding one seat only. As indicated below. See Ordinance 14-33 Section 4 attached to this memo.
The following people have submitted applications for the Construction Trades Board, which are attached:
Seat 1 - General Contractor - For a term to expire October 2017
Seat 2 - Commercial Swimming Pool Contractor - For a term to expire October 2018
Seat 3 - Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Contractor - For a term to expire October 2019
Seat 4 - State Certified or Locally Licensed Contractor in any field of construction not represented above - For a term to expire October 2018
Seat 5 - Consumer Representative - For a term to expire October 2017
