Floridana surplus property, Resolution R-13-037 to declare surplus and authorize sale

Action Requested

Adoption of, Resolution R-13-037 declaring certain county real property as surplus and authorizing the sale of such property.

Background Discussion

Manatee County acquired the property through an Escheatment Tax Deed dated August 28, 2012, recorded in Official Record Book 2434, Page 2817, and described as Lot 17, Block F, Floridana Mobile Homesite Site 1, Plat Book 11, Page 7.

When the property escheated to the County it was improved with a mobile home in poor condition; it has since been demolished and the property is now vacant land.

The HOA dues are $110.00 per month; however, the county is not liable for any past and future dues.

The property has been circulated and reviewed by appropriate County Departments, Affordable Housing, and Private Agencies; and none have any need for the property.
