Background Discussion

The applicant, Peerage Land Company, LLC, is requesting vacation of an 84-foot unimproved road right-of-way. This platted right-of-way runs north and south within the Fair Oaks Subdivision. The applicant seeks to vacate that portion of the unnamed road right-of-way that separates lots 4, 5, and 8 from lots 3, 6, and 7. Peerage Land Company, LLC, plans to develop its property into a planned townhouse community. The applicant has submitted a General Development Plan to the Manatee County Building and Development Services Department for review.

Jurisdictional review by appropriate county departments and private utility companies serving the location to be vacated have been notified of the intention to file a vacation and have no objection. The vacation application complies with the technical requirements of the Manatee County Land Development Code and pertinent Florida Statutes. All expenses associated with the subject vacation will be paid by Peerage Land Company, LLC.

Manatee County's application filing fee of $800 has been paid by the applicant.
