Background Discussion
  • The applicants, Eric Tupin Grimes and Caroline Dawn Grimes, as Trustees under the Grimes Family Trust, and Robert R. and Susan L. Kubinski, and Nelda L. and Stafford E. Polk III are requesting vacation of a 20 foot wide unimproved platted right-of-way known as Drayton Street.
  • This is one of two vacation requests within an application submitted by Leo Mills Jr., as authorized agent on behalf of the applicants.
  • This unimproved platted right-of-way runs north and south between Davis Street to the north, 19th Avenue NW to the south, 81st Street NW to the west, and Shaw's Point Subdivision to the east, and separated by a hiatus owned by Grimes Family Trust.
  • The vacation will be for the mutual benefit of the applicants with its purpose to eliminate illegal dumping and off-street racing.
  • Conditional requirements from jurisdictional reviewers have been met.
  • The vacation complies with pertinent Florida Statutes and Manatee County Land Development Code.
  • Manatee County's application fee of $800.00 has been paid.
  • All expenses associated with the application will be paid by the applicant.
