Background Discussion
  • The applicant, Blue Heaven Enterprises, LLC, is requesting vacation of a 31,900 square foot portion of unimproved platted right-of-way on Carolina Avenue.
  • This location is adjacent to Block 9 and Block 10 of North Sarasota, a Subdivision recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 151, of the Public Records of Manatee County, Florida.
  • This is one of two vacation applications simultaneously submitted requesting property vacation by plat.
  • The Applicants purpose and justification is to expand and develop the property for use as a hydroponic garden that will include a produce store.
  • Jurisdictional reviews to appropriate county departments and private utilities serving the area were distributed and conditional responses were noted. The conditional responses have been addressed with no further objections.
  • The vacation request complies with the technical requirements of the County's Land Development Code and pertinent Florida Statutes.
  • Manatee County's application filing fee of $800 has been paid.
  • All expenses associated with the application will be paid by the applicant.
