Grant for Latino Americans: 500 Years of History!

Authorization for the Board of County Commissioners to accept a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association in the amount of $3,000; Adoption of Resolution B-15-075 to increase the revenues and expenditures for this grant; and Authorization for Cheri Coryea, Director of Neighborhood Services, to execute the Grant Acceptance Form.
The Manatee County Public Library System has been award a $3,000.00 programming grant for Latino Americans: 500 Years of History!
The proceeds of the grant will be used to host two scholar led viewing and discussion programs, present a Peruvian cooking demonstration, host Author programs and present programs featuring tango dance demonstrations, a conversation club, and children's programs related to the Hispanic culture.
