Waiver of the Street Numbering for University Village Subdivision

Approve the street numbering waiver request by Medallion Home, allowing named streets to be utilized in the University Village Subdivision.
Section 742 of the Manatee County Land Development Code
Pete Logan on behalf of Medallion Home is requesting a waiver of the street numbering requirement to allow named streets to be utilized in the University Village Subdivision project. This project has received approval of the preliminary plat / final site plan.
The project is located on the north side of Tallevast Rd and east of US 301 in south county. The site is comprised of 51.5 +/- acres and is being developed as a 202 unit duplex subdivision.
Section 742.8 of the Manatee County Land Development Code allows for a waiver of the street numbering requirement. This section also requires the Manatee County Public Safety Department, Traffic Management Division of Public Works, and the fire district to review the waiver request.
Those reviewing agencies have responded with no objection to the waiver request and have indicated that provided the street names chosen are not duplicates either actually or phonetically, and are easy to pronounce and recognize, emergency response will not be compromised by the granting of the waiver.
Vickie Warner, Address Coordinator, will review the proposed names to ensure that they meet the criteria.
