Authorization for the Procurement Official, or designee, to execute Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 20-R073241JE - Video and Card Access System Upgrade for an aggregate Agreement total not-to-exceed amount of $1,200,000.00.
Manatee County Code of Laws
On January 14, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved Agreement No. 20-R073241JE for Video and Card Access System Upgrade with Convergint Technologies LLC in the not-to-exceed amount of $830,000.00. The work includes upgrading the Access Control System for the Manatee County Administration Building and Utilities Buildings, as well as, the Access Control System and Video Surveillance System for the Manatee County Judicial Center and Historic Courthouse.
Currently, the Property Management Department has three (3) separate Blanket Purchase Orders with Convergint Technologies LLC for various as-needed equipment, services, repairs and preventative maintenance. In an effort to leverage the newly negotiated pricing and consolidate the various Blanket Purchase Orders for increased efficiency, the Property Management Department recommends transitioning the as-needed services and equipment to Agreement No. 20-R073241JE therefore eliminating the need to have multiple separate Blanket Purchase Orders.
Amendment No. 1 increases the aggregate Agreement total not-to-exceed amount of $830,000.00 to $1,200,000.00 in order to account for the various additional as-needed purchases for Video and Card Access system equipment, services, repairs and preventative maintenance that may be required during or after the upgrade project. If approved, a separate Blanket Purchase Order will be created for the as-needed services and equipment so that the CIP project costs will remain unaffected.
