Manatee County Code of Laws
The work under the Agreement is on an as-needed basis and includes the provision of all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to remove, transport, and unload water and wastewater that may include groundwater, grease, grit, rags, and other materials typically found in sanitary sewer collection systems from the County's sanitary sewer collection system.
The Agreement also provides for emergency hauling services after periods of heavy rainfall to prevent, or in response to, sanitary sewer overflows. Additionally, the Agreement includes federal provisions applicable to a declared state of emergency in which the County would seek reimbursement from FEMA.
On August 22, 2019, the County issued an IFB No. 19-R070549CD for Water & Wastewater Pumping and Hauling Services. Three responsive and responsible bids were received from Blue Septic Tank Services, Inc., Bradenton, FL; EnviroWaste Services Group, Inc., Tampa, FL; and DeJonge Excavating Contractors, Inc., Nokomis, FL.
The initial term of the Agreement is for three years with two, one-year renewal options, not to exceed a total of five (5) years.
Procurement and the Utilities Department recommend award to all three responsive and responsible bidders.
