Presentation of P1NNACLE Formula 1 in Schools.
Formula 1 in Schools is the world's largest science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) competition in the world. Team P1NNACLE won the USA F1 in Schools National Championship in Austin, TX in February 2019, which qualified them to represent the USA at the F1 in Schools World Finals in Abu Dhabi, UAE in November 2019.
Manatee County Schools has more podium finishes at the World level than any other school district in the United States and has had a presence in the competition since 2006.
Students form a team like a business and must market and engineer miniature Formula 1 cars to compete against as many as 50 other teams from 30+ countries. Last year's team finished 3rd. Manatee County won in 2010 in Singapore and since that time has two seconds, three thirds, and a fourth place finish at Worlds plus 6 USA National Championships.
