Authorization for the Procurement Official, or designee, to execute the Agreement and accept and date the Public Construction Bond. Enabling/Regulating Authority Manatee County Code of Laws Background Discussion The Coquina Beach Drainage Improvements Phase II project consists of improvements to the current parking area from the southern park entrance to the end of the northern park entrance. The parking areas will be constructed of pervious concrete. An underdrain system has been designed to control groundwater as well as storm water runoff. On August 10, 2020, the County issued IFBC No. 20-TA003443AJ for the Coquina Beach Drainage Improvements Phase II project. Seven responsive, responsible bids were received for consideration per the attached tabulation. American Pipeline Construction, LLC, was the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder with a total cost of $3,447,313.77 based on Bid A with a construction completion time of 360 calendar days. Procurement and the Public Works Department recommend award to the responsive and responsible bidder having the lowest cost, American Pipeline Construction, LLC.
