Agenda Item #22 Subject Reduction of Code Enforcement Fines for It Takes A Village Therapy, CE2018070335 Briefings None Contact and/or Presenter Information Jeff Bowman, Code Enforcement Division Chief, Ext 6854 Action Requested Motion to reduce the fines for this case to $2,000.00 plus $28.50 recording fees, as previously recommended by the Special Magistrate on September 23, 2020, subject to the following conditions:
Enabling/Regulating Authority Section 162-09, Florida Statutes Section 2-7-27, Code of Ordinances Background Discussion The owner, It Takes A Village Therapy, LLC, was cited for installing a new front door and beginning to replace the roof without the required Building Permits. After Code Enforcement notified Kimberly Lane (Registered Agent and owner) of the violations, she made good faith efforts to obtain the required permits. Ms. Lane indicated that retaining a contractor proved to be difficult, but eventually succeeded and a contractor was able to obtain the required permits. Ms. Lane respectfully requests that the fine be mitigated. Violation: Section 310.3 of the Land Development Code History:
