Action Requested
Adoption of Resolution R-20-157 appointing Frank R. Dodson III to the Housing Finance Authority of Manatee County Florida; adoption of Resolution R-20-161 appointing Paul A. Sharff to the Housing Finance Authority of Manatee County Florida; and authorization for the Chairperson to sign two (2) Certificates of Membership, one for each Housing Finance Authority appointment.

Background Discussion
On December 1, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners approved the attached written protocol to govern appointments to the Housing Finance Authority (Authority) of Manatee County, Florida. The protocol was developed by counsel for the Authority, with input from the County Attorney.
Notice of the Authority vacancies was published in the Bradenton Herald on August 25, 2020, and also posted on the Authority's website. Applications were received from Frank Dodson III and Paul Sharff.
Mr. Dodson has been a member of the Authority since its inception in 1979, and Mr. Sharff since 2006. Both terms expire October 31, 2020, and the Authority is requesting reappointment of both members. The terms for these positions are November 1, 2020 through October 31, 2024.
