Authorization for Chairman to execute a letter to WCIND requesting implementation and oversight of navigational channel dredging associated with the County's Highland Shores and Warner's Bayou boat ramps.
Florida Statute 125
Previous bathymetric surveys conducted on the access channels serving the Highland Shores and Warner's Bayou boat ramps identified the need for the dredging of materials to improve and maintain sufficient navigational clearance. Approximately 1,500 cubic yards of material will be removed from both channels. The estimated costs for the navigational dredging is $115,000 for Warner's Bayou and $95,000 for Highland Shores. The Manatee County Board's authorization of Countywide Navigational Improvement Funding allows WCIND to implement and oversee both projects in coordination with Manatee County staff.
