Reaffirmation of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement

Action Requested

Motion to adopt Resolution R-19-146, reaffirming the Manatee County Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and Affirmative Action Plan and authorizing the Chairperson and County Administrator to execute related documents.

Enabling/Regulating Authority
State and Federal grant requirements call for periodic reaffirmation of EEO/AA Policies.

Background Discussion
The EEO Policy Statement is a required component of the Affirmative Action Plan, a copy of which is on file in the County Commission's reference area and is also available on the County's website. This action is for renewal of the County's commitment to equal employment opportunity in its role as employer. This action also ensures compliance with various Federal and State Grant requirements.
