Sections 125.35 and 125.411, Florida Statutes, County Government, and 270.11 F.S.
Manatee County acquired the property through an Escheatment Tax Deed dated August 28, 2012, recorded in Official Record Book 2434, Page 2817, and described as Lot 17, Block F, Floridana Mobile Homesite Site 1, Plat Book 11, Page 7.
The property has been reviewed by appropriate County departments, Affordable Housing, and private agencies, and none have any need for the property. The County continues to incur expenses to maintain the property. On February 26, 2013, Regular Meeting, Resolution R-13-037 was approved by the BCC.
The property was previously offered for sale with no response.
The property was offered for sale in accordance with the Florida Statutes 125.35. The bids were opened on September 3, 2013; with the high bid from Floridana Homeowners Association, Inc., a Florida non profit corporation, in the amount of $2,500.00. Manatee County staff recommends that the Board accept the high bid.
