Manatee County Land Development Code

Florida Impact Fee Act

Background Discussion
Manatee County has collected impact fees on new development since 1986.   The county currently collects impact fees for roads, parks, public safety and law enforcement.

Section 1108.9 of the Land Development Code requires that the County complete a new impact fee study at least once every 5 years.  As the last study was done over 4 years ago, we are approaching the 5-year mark.  The County has therefore contracted with TischlerBise to perform a new, updated impact fee study.  That study, now completed, documents the data and formulas used to calculate new recommended impact fees.
