Action Requested
Affirm the award of Agreement No. 19-TA003131AJ for San Remo Shores Water Main Replacement in the not-to-exceed amount of $2,811,425.35 to Harris McBurney and Associates, Inc., of Tampa, FL based on a construction completion schedule of 365 calendar days.

Authorization for the County Administrator, or designee, to execute the Agreement.

Background Discussion
This project consists of construction of approximately 8,000 linear feet of six-inch water main along Bamboo Terrace (101st Street West), Coconut Terrace (100th Street West), Plumosa Terrace (99th Street West), and Royal Palm Drive (98th Street West) and 1,300 linear feet of eight-inch water main along Bamboo Terrace (101st Street West) and Royal Palm Drive (43rd Avenue West), including the installation of water services, fire hydrants, and connections to the existing water main.

Procurement History

At its meeting on October 22, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved the execution of Agreement No. 19-TA003131AJ in the amount of $2,811,425.35 to Harris McBurney and Associates, Inc.

Subsequently, staff discovered that the Notice of Intent to Award for this solicitation had not been posted for five business days prior to the October 22, 2019 Board meeting as required by the Manatee County Procurement Administrative Standards and Procedures  that were adopted pursuant to Chapter 2-26 of the Manatee County Code of Laws.

The Notice of Intent to Award for IFBC No. 19-TA003131AJ has now been posted for the requisite five days and staff is requesting the Board of County Commissioners re-affirm the award of Agreement No. 19-TA003131AJ for a total not to exceed amount of $2,811,425.35 based on a construction completion schedule of 365 calendar days.
