Background Discussion

On May 21, 2019, at its Regular Meeting, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously passed a Motion directing the County Attorney’s Office to work collaboratively with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and its legal staff to prepare a draft ordinance to regulate massage establishments doing business in Manatee County.  The County Attorney’s Office has prepared the attached draft ordinance upon coordination and consultation with representatives from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and the Building and Development Services Department. Assistant County Attorney Christopher M. De Carlo will present draft Ordinance No. 19-48 for discussion.
