FPL Services Construction Project Presentation

To present a power point presentation of the FPLS energy savings project, which explains the activity surrounding the construction phases and how it will affect the public and county staff.
The Board of County Commissioners approved the Guaranteed Energy Performance Contracting Services agreement with FPL Service, LLC, May 2013
The agreement provides professional services which will result in decreased energy consumption and costs. This will be achieved by constructing a central energy plant and implementing many energy saving measures such as lighting, water conservation, and air conditioning mechanicals.
The central energy plant requires chilled water underground piping installation to our facilities to deliver chilled water for all air conditioning functionality. To accomplish the installation of underground chilled water piping many downtown streets and intersections will endure closures, traffic direction changes, and parking challenges.
The power point presentation includes a detailed downtown aerial of all construction phases for street closures and changes in traffic direction. It will also address parking challenges, effects on county facilities, public and county employee impacts, and project completion dates.
