Adoption of Resolution R-18-072 authorizing a short term loan not to exceed $20,000 from the Infrastructure Sales Tax Transportation Capital Projects fund (Fund 850) to the Infrastructure Sales Tax Public Safety & Law Enforcement Capital Projects fund (Fund 851) for the funding of FY18 projects.
Adoption of Budget Resolution B-18-066 adjusting the FY18-22 CIP amending the annual budget for Manatee County, FL, for fiscal year 2018.

Ordinance 16-35 Infrastructure Sales Tax Referendum
Resolution R-18-069 being presented under Public Hearing, as advertised, on May 8, 2018 at the Board of County Commissioners Meeting.
Ordinance 16-35 provided for a referendum to be conducted allowing for the collection and distribution of an infrastructure sales tax. The referendum was passed by voters on November 8, 2016, and beginning January 1, 2017, a half-cent discretionary local government infrastructure sales surtax is being collected in Manatee County.
Resolution R-16-128, approved by Commissioners on August 9, 2016, and Exhibit B of the Resolution, Infrastructure Sales Tax Project and Equipment List, contained a detailed list of the projects to be funded by the Infrastructure Sales Tax and their estimated costs.
As amended in Resolution R-18-044, a Public Hearing has been scheduled on May 8, 2018, to adopt Resolution R-18-069 to approve the proposed changes to the Infrastructure Sales Tax Project and Equipment List Exhibit B-18.3 to add $656,408 to Transportation - Intersection Improvements, add $220,000 to Public Safety & Law Enforcement - Criminal Justice & Public Safety Facility Improvements, and remove $200,000 from Public Safety & Law Enforcement - Law Enforcement Facilities & Equipment.
The budget amendment being presented with this agenda will be adjusting the FY18-22 CIP amending the annual budget for Manatee County, FL, for fiscal year 2018.
The cost estimates for the Infrastructure Project and Equipment List Exhibit B were completed in 2016, wherein the estimates have since become outdated and the costs to complete the projects have increased.
This is an increase in costs to the total list of projects as stated in Resolution 16-128 which brings the total as follows:
