Enabling/Regulating Authority

Florida Statutes, Chapter 177.101, Vacation and annulment of plats subdividing land.

Manatee County Land Development Code, Section 331, Vacation of Streets and Plats.

Background Discussion
  • The applicant, Old Florida Riverfront Properties, LLC, is requesting vacation of Lot 6, Block 3, of G.H. Judd's Subdivision.
  • The applicant owns all of Lot 6 and desires to apply for certified lots upon the completion of the vacation process.
  • Jurisdictional reviews by appropriate county departments and private utility companies have been notified of the intention to file a vacation and have no objection. The City of Palmetto provides water and sewer to the area without objection.
  • The vacation application complies with the technical requirements of the Manatee County Land Development Code and pertinent Florida Statutes.
  • All expenses associated with the subject vacation will be paid by the Applicant.
  • Manatee County's application filing fee of $800 has been paid.
