Background Discussion

Services are provided to eligible residents of Manatee County for homemaker, personal care, and respite services.

Services have traditionally been provided through state grant funds.

With an ever evolving population growth of residents to Manatee County the need for services continues to grow.

Staff will discuss the process of eligibility and prioritization of clients being referred for services and the challenges that we have to serve.

A long range plan is being developed to address these challenges and the Department will be discussing areas of concerns that may be brought forward by the Commission.
