Action Requested
  • Execution of Contract for Sale and Purchase for a Warranty Deed with Cantolino Prop I, LLC, in the amount of $2,650,000 for the purpose of expanding Manatee County Tax Collector to 3500 9th Street West, Bradenton, Florida PID 4925300057; and adoption of Budget Amendment Resolution B-15-046.

Enabling/Regulating Authority

Florida Statutes Chapter 125.  Manatee County Comprehensive Plan-Goal 11.1.4 maintain a government environment conductive to the efficient and effective provision of services.

Background Discussion
  • At the request of Ken Burton Jr., Manatee County Tax Collector, a Contract for Sale and Purchase for a Warranty Deed has been negotiated in the amount of $2,650,000. The subject property is located at 3500 9th Street West in Bradenton, Florida. 
  • The property is a one-story office building with  25,188 square feet under roof located on 5.83 acres. 
  • Manatee County Tax Collector will use the facility as an adjunct location to better serve Manatee County residents for future anticipated increases in driver licenses renewals. 
  • Budget Resolution B-15-046 transfers funds from general fund reserves in anticipation of capital borrowings this year.
