Section 125.35, Florida Statutes, County Government authorized to sell real and personal property and to lease property.

Background Discussion
  • On December 19, 2000, Manatee County acquired the property via Tax Deed recorded in Official Records Book 1659, Page 6692, Public Records of Manatee County, Florida.  Tax Deed Docket 1436.
  • A jurisdictional review was completed and no objections were received.
  • The 2016 tax assessed value is $7,800.00.
  • On March 28, 2017, a citizen visited Property Acquisition to inquire about purchasing the county owned vacant lot at 725 65th Avenue East.  In order to sell the property, it must first be declared as surplus.
  • Upon adopting R-17-065, said parcel will be designated surplus, advertised, and sold to the highest bidder via public sale or sold by a private sale in accordance with the Surplus Lands Ordinance 14-26 and Florida Statutes 125.35.
