Adoption of Resolution 15-68 granting approval of Staff Authority to Execute Passenger Bus Stop Access Agreements for service deviations onto private/public, off-street properties.
Florida Statutes 125; Florida Statutes 341.052
To fulfill operating requirements, transit service will occasionally deviate onto select private / public, off-street properties. Current examples include: Holy Cross, Manatee Technical Institute (MTI), LECOM on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, and several Wal-Mart properties, which serve as key transfer points. Therefore, a boilerplate Passenger Bus Stop Access Agreement was developed in conjunction with the County Attorney's office. These agreements are critical to the success of service enhancement projects. The County Attorney's office, working with Transit Division Staff, drafted a boilerplate Agreement that is currently utilized for off-street bus stops; however, each agreement then requires Board approval. Rather than require Board Action for each agreement, delegation of authority to staff is requested.
Therefore, the following is proposed for Board approval: adoption of Resolution 15-68.
