Adoption of Resolutions R-15-095, R-15-096, and R-15-097, authorizing a pre-suit offer, determining public purpose and necessity for the acquisition of a certain parcel of privately owned realty, and authorizing the use of "quick-take" eminent domain proceedings, as related to the proposed improvements to 44th Avenue East from 44th Avenue Plaza East to Lakewood Ranch Boulevard.
Chapters 73, 74, and 127, Florida Statutes
Manatee County proposes to construct a segment of 44th Avenue East from 44th Avenue Plaza East to Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. This project is a CIP-approved project.
The County must notify the fee owner of its rights and obligations pursuant to Section 73.015, Florida Statutes. The County then must engage in good faith negotiations to purchase the property before filing an eminent domain action.
The owner of the land to be acquired, the interest to be acquired, and the County's appraised value are as follows:
Owner: M & S Manatee, LLC
Interest to Be Acquired: Fee Simple Interest
Appraised Value: $480,000.00
Specific information on the appraised values of the land to be acquired can be provided at the time of presentation of this matter, if the Board so desires.
