Florida Statute 125
Manatee County's Parks and Natural Resources Department has applied for a small grant (total amount of $1,000) to purchase materials to provide "Growing Up WILD" trainings in Manatee County. The grant will pay for the purchase of the curriculum guides distributed to participants who attend the free grant-sponsored workshop. A total of 3 workshops will be held with a maximum of 50 participants. These trainings are state-sponsored professional development courses which County staff offers in addition to regular public programming, providing peers throughout the state with a way to receive advanced training in the environmental education skillset. By offering these programs the Division is also able to expand programming.
Adoption of Budget Resolution B-16-079 is also being requested as part of this approval.
